HR Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding, and employee documentation. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases.
Coordinate staff attendance, leave, payroll inputs, benefits, and welfare activities.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and staff guidelines.
Coordinate performance management, appraisals, probation reviews, and staff development.
Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution professionally.
Monitor staff compliance with school policies, code of conduct, and professional standards.
Support workforce planning and ensure appropriate staffing levels across teaching and non-teaching functions.
Coordinate staff training, orientation, induction, and continuous professional development.
Promote employee engagement, teamwork, accountability, and a positive school culture.
Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management updates.
Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian employment laws and relevant education-sector requirements.
Work closely with school leadership to address people-related issues and improve organizational effectiveness.
Requirements:
A minimum of an HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably within a school, education, or structured organization.
Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.
Experience managing both teaching and non-teaching staff will be an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information/record management systems.
Must be based in or willing to work in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
