Responsibilities:

Business Development & Revenue Growth:

Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors and markets. Build and manage a structured business development pipeline from lead generation through contract award.

Proactively identify upcoming projects, tenders, contracts and commercial opportunities. Develop strategies for acquiring new clients and expanding existing client relationships. Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities into sustainable revenue. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and repeat business across the group and its subsidiaries.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Identify, engage and develop relationships with key decision-makers within IOCs and oil & gas companies, EPC contractors, Oil & gas service companies, Construction companies, government agencies, Maritime and dredging operators and Equipment leasing companies Maintain regular engagement with existing and prospective clients. Coordinate client meetings, presentations, site visits and commercial discussions. Maintain a professional network that supports business development and market expansion.

Tendering & Proposal Management:

Monitor and identify relevant tender, RFQ, RFP and prequalification opportunities. Coordinate the preparation and submission of tenders, technical/commercial proposals, RFQs/RFPs, prequalification documents, Expression of Interest (EOI) submissions, company profiles and capability statements Coordinate with Technical, Operations, Finance and other departments to obtain accurate information for bids. Review tender requirements and ensure submissions are complete, compliant and submitted within deadlines. Maintain a central tender/opportunity tracker. Conduct preliminary bid/no-bid assessments and make recommendations to management. Maintain records of submitted bids, outcomes, feedback and lessons learned.

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Development:

Conduct regular market research to identify upcoming projects, industry trends, Competitor activities, Potential clients, New market opportunities, Procurement and contracting trends Track developments within the oil & gas, construction, marine/dredging and equipment leasing sectors. Provide Management with actionable market intelligence and recommendations.

Commercial & Contract Support:

Support Management during commercial negotiations and contract discussions. Work with Finance, Legal, Operations and Technical teams to assess commercial requirements and risks. Support the preparation and review of commercial documentation. Monitor contract award processes and ensure effective handover of secured contracts to the relevant operational teams. Maintain visibility of contract status, client requirements and key commercial milestones.

Market Expansion:

Support the group's expansion into new markets and sectors. Contribute to the development and execution of the Lagos market-entry strategy. Identify prospective clients, partners and strategic alliances in new markets. Develop market-entry intelligence and recommendations for management.

Business Development Reporting & CRM:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, prospects, opportunities, tender submissions, client engagements, contract awards, lost opportunities and follow-up activities Prepare regular business development pipeline reports and revenue forecasts. Track conversion rates, tender performance and opportunity values. Ensure effective use of CRM/business development tools.

Relationship & Brand Development:

Represent the Group professionally at industry conferences, exhibitions, networking events and client meetings. Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and business alliances. Support initiatives that strengthen the Group's visibility and positioning within target industries.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform other relevant duties assigned by the Group General Manager or Management. Maintain confidentiality of commercial and client information at all times. Comply with the Group's policies, procedures and ethical standards.

Requirements:

A minimum of an HND in business administration, marketing, engineering, economics, management, commercial management or a related discipline. Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience in business development, sales, commercial management, tendering or a related role. Proven experience within oil & gas, construction, marine/dredging, engineering, equipment leasing or related industries. Demonstrable experience in tender preparation, prequalification, proposal development and contract acquisition. Experience managing B2B client relationships and commercial pipelines. Existing relationships within oil & gas, EPC, construction, marine, government or related sectors will be a strong advantage.

Knowledge & Skills:

Strong understanding of B2B business development and commercial processes. Good understanding of tendering and procurement processes. Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills. Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-management skills. Strong networking, prospecting and follow-up capabilities. Excellent analytical and research skills. Strong proposal and business writing skills. Ability to manage multiple opportunities and strict tender deadlines. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with CRM/business development platforms. Strong reporting and pipeline management capability.

Remuneration: NGN 700,000 Monthly
