Role overview

Are you an experienced frontend developer looking for the right place to build solutions that matter? Join a global team working on OpenGDDS, a digital product that supports nonclinical research through semantic search and automated document creation. The agentic system is built across Databricks and bespoke AWS infrastructure, with the frontend developed in Vue.js.

You will take ownership of the design, development, and evolution of the user interface, working closely with UX/UI, backend, data, AI, infrastructure, and product colleagues in a cross-functional, international setup.

Daily tasks

• Develop, maintain, and improve scalable frontend applications using TypeScript and Vue.js
• Translate UX/UI designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, and maintainable user experiences
• Contribute to frontend architecture and communicate clearly about what can be built, scaled, and maintained
• Integrate the frontend with backend services, APIs, and search capabilities across the OpenGDDS platform
• Build MVPs and experiment with new approaches while keeping a strong focus on quality and long-term maintainability
• Support engineering quality through unit testing, end-to-end testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate across locations and disciplines to deliver effective solutions for researchers and scientific stakeholders

Requirements

Requirements:

BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field

At least 5 years of experience in frontend software development

Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Vue.js (or a similar SPA framework such as React or Angular)

Broad understanding of software development, including system architecture and coding for scale

Ability to communicate technical possibilities and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues

Practical interest in experimentation and building MVPs

Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership, openness to feedback, and reliability in meeting deadlines

Fluent English, written and spoken

Nice to have:

Python

Experience with one or more AWS services

Jest for unit testing

Playwright for end-to-end testing

Must have: Vue.js, TypeScript, MVP, API

Nice to have: React, Angular, Python, AWS
