Senior Software Quality Control Engineer

Job Summary: The Senior Software QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and functionality of software applications throughout the SDLC. The role involves planning and executing manual and automated testing, identifying and resolving quality issues, and collaborating with technical and business teams to ensure successful releases. Job Description:

• Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, and quality criteria based on business and technical requirements.
• Review requirements and technical documentation to identify quality risks and ensure requirements are testable.
• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests across functional, regression, integration, system, API, usability, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects, perform root cause analysis, and validate fixes.
• Perform API testing and validate integrations between internal and external systems.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers.
• Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and release-readiness reports.
• Support performance, security, compatibility, and production release validation when required.
• Continuously improve test coverage, automation, testing efficiency, and QA processes.
• Mentor Junior and Mid-Level QA/QC Engineers and contribute to QA standards, documentation, and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Software QA/QC or Software Testing.
• Strong experience in manual testing, test case design, and defect management.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect/test management tools.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Good understanding of web applications, APIs, databases, and system integrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
