The following tasks we can offer you

Are you looking for a demanding and strategically oriented task in procurement, in which you can contribute your experience with complex supplier structures, demanding development scopes, and high-precision mechanical components? Then become part of our team. As Senior Buyer Fuel Injection, you will be responsible for a technologically demanding procurement environment surrounding injection systems for our engines. In doing so, you will actively shape the commodity group and supplier strategy, negotiate development and supply contracts with international partners, and, together with Engineering, Quality, and the plants, ensure a high-performance and future-oriented supply chain.

• Responsibility for strategic and technologically demanding commodity groups in the area of Fuel Injection
• Creation, negotiation, and further development of development contracts, supply contracts, and commercial agreements with international suppliers
• Management and development of strategically important suppliers, including monopolists and suppliers with high technological relevance
• Development and implementation of sustainable commodity group and supplier strategies to ensure availability, competitiveness, and risk minimization
• Responsibility for the sourcing process for complex development and series scopes - from inquiry through negotiation to award
• Close cooperation with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and the procuring plants in the evaluation of technical concepts and supplier capabilities
• Evaluation and analysis of international procurement markets as well as derivation of suitable measures to secure critical supply chains
• Identification and realization of cost potentials, taking into account technical requirements, depth of manufacture, and quality requirements
• Active co-design of make-or-buy, dual-source, and risk strategies for critical components in the area of Fuel Injection

With these qualifications, you will help us move forward

• Successfully completed studies in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration with a technical additional qualification, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the strategic procurement of complex mechanical or mechatronic components, ideally in the area of Fuel Injection, drive technology, or comparable industries
• Sound experience in the creation and negotiation of development contracts, supply contracts, and long-term commercial agreements
• Experience in dealing with large strategic suppliers, monopolists, and critical supply chain structures
• Strong technical understanding of high-precision mechanical machining, demanding manufacturing processes, and tight tolerance requirements
• Strong negotiation skills and a confident appearance in the international supplier environment
• Experience in the development and implementation of commodity group and risk strategies
• Analytical strength, assertiveness, and a strong understanding of technical and economic contexts
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing
• Willingness to undertake international business travel
