Are you looking for a demanding and strategically oriented task in purchasing, in which you can contribute your experience with electronic systems, complex interfaces, and international suppliers? Then apply to be part of our team. As Senior Buyer Electronics, you will be responsible for a future-oriented procurement environment surrounding automation, motor control, control cabinet and module construction, as well as platform systems. In doing so, you will develop commodity group and supplier strategies, conduct negotiations with international partners, and work closely with engineering, quality, and the plants to ensure high-performance and competitive solutions for our products.

• Responsibility for strategic and technologically demanding commodity groups in the field of Electronics
• Development, implementation, and further development of commodity group, sourcing, and supplier strategies for electronic systems and assemblies
• Independent preparation, conduct, and follow-up of price, contract, and condition negotiations with national and international suppliers
• Management and further development of the supplier portfolio for automation, motor control, control cabinet and module construction, as well as platform systems
• Responsibility for the entire sourcing process for complex development and series scopes - from inquiry to award
• Close cooperation with engineering, quality, production, and the procuring plants in the evaluation of technical concepts, specifications, and supplier capabilities
• Analysis of international procurement markets and identification of suitable suppliers for electronic components, systems, and platform solutions
• Identification and realization of cost potentials, taking into account technical requirements, life cycle costs, and security of supply
• Participation in the standardization and further development of procurement processes for complex electronic scopes

With these qualifications, you will help us move forward

• Successfully completed studies in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, business administration with a technical additional qualification, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the strategic procurement of electronic systems, assemblies, or control technology, ideally in an industrial environment
• Sound knowledge in the field of automation and motor control as well as an understanding of technical connections in drive and control technology
• Good understanding of control cabinet and module construction as well as platform systems and their industrial procurement requirements
• Experience in the development and implementation of commodity group and supplier strategies for technically demanding electronic scopes
• Strong negotiation skills as well as experience in dealing with international suppliers and complex interfaces
• Confident handling of modern procurement processes, cost analyses, and strategic purchasing methods
• Analytical strength, communication skills, and a high degree of personal responsibility in an international environment
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing
• Willingness to undertake international business trips
