(Senior) Industrial Product Designer & Engineer – Home Accessories (m/w/d)

THIS IS THE JOB

Do you want to create products that combine thoughtful design with real impact for our planet? At everdrop, as a (Senior) Industrial Product Designer & Engineer – Home Accessories (m/w/d), you will combine aesthetics with technical construction. You will take responsibility for our product portfolio – from the initial idea through CAD development to series production readiness.

These will be your main tasks:

• You develop high-quality and clever household products from the initial product idea to series production readiness – with a focus on design, functionality, and sustainability.

• You construct products independently and develop technical solutions that convince through intelligent functions and an excellent User Experience.

• You select suitable materials and manufacturing processes and optimize products with regard to quality, sustainability, manufacturability, and cost.

• You manage international suppliers and development partners, coordinate technical details, and ensure smooth and efficient implementation.

• You work closely networked with Product Management, Procurement, and Operations and ensure that a product vision becomes an extraordinary series product.

• You have completed a degree or training in the field of Industrial Design, Product Development, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction.

• You bring several years of experience in the development of physical consumer goods – ideally in the area of Home & Living, household products, or Consumer Goods.

• You have a strong sense for high-quality product design and can combine this with technical feasibility.

• You know and understand different manufacturing processes or relevant production methods (such as injection molding, extrusion, or CNC) and the corresponding materials (such as plastics, silicone, wood, or metal) and can already incorporate this knowledge into the conception phase.

• You understand manufacturing costs, target costs, and economic efficiency and develop products that are technically and commercially convincing.

• You are proficient in CAD programs (e.g., SolidWorks or Fusion 360) and construct products independently.

• You communicate fluently in English and ideally have experience working with international manufacturers and suppliers.

• You work in a structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented manner and have the ambition to turn good ideas into extraordinary products.
