Simulation & Digital Solutions Scientist (m/f/x) (Digital Analyst)

You will support our teams in process and plant development through numerical simulations with a focus on application development, in order to make modeling expertise broadly accessible and usable.

Your contribution serves the further development of research and development activities in the field of processes and plants.

What to expect:

• Participation in the expansion and validation of multiphysics process models
• Development of applications based on these models to gain simulation-based insights and to support engineering processes
• Integration of Machine Learning algorithms to improve modeling capabilities and applicability
• Transfer of customer requirements into functional application features and simulation solutions
• Ensuring an intuitive and efficient user experience (UX) of the applications
• Active participation in the design and further development of the application environment, e.g., build and dependency infrastructure

What you bring:

• Completed Master's degree or PhD in Maschinenbau, Mechatronik, Angewandte Physik or a comparable field
• Sound knowledge in software development and in the field of Machine Learning, preferably with Java as well as MATLAB/Python
• Experience in the simulation and modeling of mechanical systems (e.g., kinematic simulations or Finite-Elemente-Methoden/FEM)
• Structured and scientifically oriented way of working
• Interdisciplinary and analytical mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Very good English skills

Salary:

We prefer to discuss salary personally, but we can reveal this much: We naturally orient ourselves towards market-standard salaries - which means that depending on the position and training, overpayment compared to the collective agreement is possible right from the start. For this position, we offer an annual gross salary of at least 53,900 EUR. Depending on qualification and experience, there is more!
