Job duties and responsibilities

Feeding: Providing appropriate feed to pigs according to their age, size, and health needs. This may involve operating automated feeding systems or manually distributing feed.

Watering: Ensuring pigs have access to clean, fresh water at all times, checking and cleaning waterers regularly.

Cleaning: Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in the barns, including cleaning pens, removing manure, and disinfecting areas.

Monitoring health: Observing pigs for signs of illness or injury, reporting any concerns to the farm manager, and assisting with administering medication or treatments as directed.

Moving and handling: Moving pigs between pens or to different areas of the farm, ensuring their safety and well-being during handling.

Job requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Animal handling skills: Experience and confidence in handling pigs safely and humanely.

Physical fitness: The job requires physical stamina for lifting, cleaning, and working in a farm environment.

Attention to detail: Observant and able to spot signs of animal health issues.

Reliable and responsible: Able to work independently and as part of a team.

-

Commitment to animal welfare: A genuine interest in the well-being of animals.

English skills: medium level required

Salary and benefits

Hourly gross salary: 130,00 kr./hour
