Technical Sampling Collector

Perform sampling activities at Eurofins, using appropriate equipment and performing necessary measurements and records at the sampling site, respecting the safety, health, and environment standards established by the company and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect samples using appropriate equipment;
• Follow the sampling plan defined by the Area Coordinator;
• Develop good communication/relationship with the client and/or project representative;
• Measure and record the temperature of samples that require specific packaging conditions, when applicable;
• Perform necessary measurements at the sampling site (e.g., temperature, pH, among other required parameters);
• Monitor environmental conditions pertinent to the type of service, when necessary;
• Deliver the collected samples to the laboratories;
• Perform (or request) maintenance on equipment and utensils used in sampling;
• Act in accordance with the safety, health, and environment standards established by the company and/or clients;
• Maintain a presentable appearance, respecting company standards. This care must extend to cars and equipment;
• Handle chemical solutions for sample preservation, when necessary;
• Fill out electronic spreadsheets with information on the collected samples, when necessary;
• Act in accordance with the safety, health, and environment standards established by the company and/or clients;
• Guide teams of assistants so as to follow procedures, the sampling plan, and safety standards;
• Drive company vehicles to travel to client facilities, where the sampling procedure will be performed;
• Review and create new documents in the Quality Management system;
• Control the company's vehicle fleet;
• Identify the need for technical training for area employees and forward the request to the immediate superior.
• Execute other related activities, as needed, or at the discretion of their superior.

Required education: Completed technical course in Chemistry, Environment, or Safety.

Complementary education: -

Languages and expected level: Basic English.

Previous experience (type and duration): 1 to 3 years of experience.

Technical knowledge: Sampling techniques for various matrices (according to the demand of the contracting Unit), knowledge of safety standards and use of PPE, handling of glassware and equipment. Having CNH and Microsoft Office (Excel) is fundamental.

Availability of schedule and for travel, CNH B with a minimum of 2 years since the 1st issuance.

Knowledge in environmental sampling with a minimum of 2 years of experience encompassing specific knowledge in groundwater collection by the LowFlow method and basic IT knowledge.
