SOLTIS - RESEARCH TECHNICIAN - PHYTOPATHOLOGY - M/F

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Within the Technological Platform team, in compliance with safety, quality, environment standards and Soltis standards, you will act responsibly to advance our R&D and Conversions programs:

• Innovate and lead R&D activities:
• Organize the collection of biological analysis needs (biotests, biochemical analyses) and develop the provisional schedule.
• Perform tests under controlled conditions (sowing, inoculum production, phenotyping) and monitor the sanitary status of plants.
• Technically validate tests and analyze results until their integration into the database.
• Ensure the management and conservation of pathogen stocks.
• Propose innovations to optimize protocols and participate in the development of new biological tests.

• Lead Conversion activities:
• Execute conversion work from sowing to harvest while respecting traceability, sowing plans, and crossing plans.
• Manage information flows (sowing, harvest, labeling) in the internal database.
• Be proactive in developing new techniques and optimizing plant production.
• Participate in the platform's technical on-call duties (weekends and public holidays according to the schedule).

• Cooperate and engage on a daily basis:
• Communicate and work transversely with Soltis teams, maintenance, safety, and our international partners.
• Supervise and train seasonal staff by transmitting your expertise.
• Manage the stock of consumables/PPE, budget monitoring, and contribute to the annual investment plan.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

Training: BTSA, DUT/BUT or Licence Pro in Plant Biology, Plant Protection, or Plant Breeding. Sought skills: Knowledge of the plant field as well as basics in the field of plant breeding. Experience in greenhouses, controlled conditions, and plant phytopathology. Knowledge and interest in microbiology and cell biology techniques. Proficiency in IT and office tools. A taste for fieldwork and teamwork, good interpersonal skills, organized, meticulous, autonomous, and proactive. English, B1 Qualities: Scientific and methodological rigor, precision in handling, critical thinking regarding trial results, adaptability, IT proficiency (Excel, statistical experimentation software).
