Etterretningstjenesten – Knowledge about the world for the protection of Norway

The mission of Etterretningstjenesten is to collect information and provide warnings about conditions abroad that could threaten Norway and Norwegian interests. The Cyberoperasjonssenter coordinates operations, handles coordination with partners internally and externally, and supports the Head of Department.

We are now seeking a senior collection coordinator. As a senior collection coordinator, you will facilitate, coordinate, and manage the department's collection and production. This involves being able to participate in meetings with decision-makers and representing Etterretningstjenesten in a good manner within the department's field of expertise, both nationally and internationally.

Tasks

Your main task will be to coordinate and manage the department's operations within the department's area of responsibility. Additional for underdirektør (UDIR): and exercise professional leadership.

In addition, you shall support the department management by facilitating and coordinating collection, production, and operational cooperation internally and externally. As part of the department's management group, you will participate in and contribute to the department's general development, strategy, and operations, including the leadership of investigations and working groups, as well as competence-building measures.

Qualifications

The position has the following requirements that must be met to be considered a relevant applicant:

• Master's degree or education at an equivalent level (major, professional studies, etc.) or scope within a relevant field of study. Several years of relevant experience with good results may compensate for the education requirement.
• In-depth knowledge of collection, cyberoperasjoner, and intelligence production.
• Experience from partner work.
• Good English language skills.
• UDIR: leadership experience.

In addition, it is desirable if you have:

• Seniorrådgiver: leadership experience.
• Experience from international operations.
• Knowledge and insight into the activities of Forsvaret and NATO.
• Knowledge of offensive cyberoperasjoner.

Special requirements for a position in Etterretningstjenesten:

Applicants must satisfy the requirements for the highest security clearance.

For employment in Etterretningstjenesten, one cannot have any citizenship other than Norwegian at the time of employment.

The position is subject to compulsory service, cf. the defense act and the regulation on defense personnel, which means that you can be ordered to international operations. This normally occurs on the basis of willingness. Compulsory service entails requirements for medical and physical fitness and basic English language skills. If you do not meet the requirements, you have the opportunity to apply for an exemption.

You will receive an annual salary within the range of NOK 785,000 – 980,000 in the position of seniorrådgiver (code: 1364) or NOK 925,000 - 1,030,000 in the position of underdirektør (code: 1059) according to the current Hovedtariffavtale. Final salary placement and position code depend on qualifications.
