Psychologist/Senior Advisor Organizational Culture
The Intelligence Service – Knowledge about the world for the protection of Norway
The mission of the Intelligence Service is to collect information and provide warnings about conditions abroad that may threaten Norway and Norwegian interests. We are now looking for a specialist in organizational culture and cultural development.
As our specialist in organizational culture, you will use organizational analyses, evidence-based methods, and your professional insight to recommend, implement, and evaluate measures that promote a positive organizational culture.
The Intelligence Service is particularly concerned with the working environment, security, and the interaction between these. This means you must be able to develop, improve, and use organizational analyses to identify concrete measures for both prevention and recovery. You will work closely with the professional environment, leaders, and HR advisors to ensure that measures are introduced and provide lasting effects.
Here you will have the opportunity to test yourself in test development/psychometrics and use your relational skills to create meaningful improvement through close collaboration with competent colleagues from across the organization. The field of psychology is central to the position, but it is not essential that you are a psychologist - we want to find the best candidate and emphasize practical competence.
In this position, you will work interdisciplinarily with colleagues in working environment, health, and psychology. We encourage all specialists in organizational culture to apply.
As an employee of the Intelligence Service, you will contribute to our important societal mission, as well as be part of an environment characterized by high competence and strong engagement in the professional field.
We rely on diversity in perspectives and experiences to solve our missions. Therefore, we wish to recruit employees from different backgrounds, with different life experiences, to work with us.
Tasks
- You shall develop, further develop, and interpret good culture indicators. Your focus will be the psychological aspect (constructs, questions, etc.). Examples of culture indicators are mappings of the working environment, diversity, bullying and sexual harassment, organizational identity, etc.
- You shall use the insight from the culture indicators to recommend measures for the organization and follow up with leaders/others with advice that leads to the desired cultural development/behavioral change. This often involves follow-up over time.
- You shall support and develop the competence of HR advisors and leadership support, so they can contribute to the work. Communication and follow-up will be an important part of the job.
- You shall initiate and participate in relevant research and development work within the field, for example, the development of new culture indicators.

The position has the following requirements that must be met to be considered a relevant applicant:
- Master's degree or education at a corresponding level (major, professional studies, etc.) or scope within a relevant field. A relevant bachelor's degree or education at a corresponding level and several years of experience with good results may compensate for the education requirement.
- For employment as a psychologist, authorization as a psychologist is required.
- The position requires experience, skills, and knowledge within cultural development, particularly related to the working environment.
- Experience in following up and supporting leaders in implementing cultural development processes.
- Knowledge of work/organizational psychology and change management.
- Very good relational and communicative abilities, including the ability to influence and motivate leaders.
In addition, it is desirable if you have:
- Doctorate or education at a corresponding level or scope
- Specialization in work psychology or organizational psychology
- Experience in test development
- Experience with working environment mapping
