Etterretningstjenesten – Knowledge about the world for the protection of Norway

The mission of Etterretningstjenesten is to collect information and provide warnings about conditions abroad that may threaten Norway and Norwegian interests.

We are now seeking a specialist leader for material management. In this position, you will lead processes and development, and it is suitable for you who are able to see the connection between systems, regulations, and the need for feasible routines, which in turn shall support operational activities.

Tasks

The main tasks of the position are to be professionally responsible for material management in Etterretningstjenesten, and systems for material security.

The tasks are:

• Maintain coordination and execution of the office's daily tasks within material management, including ensuring that material accounting is up to date
• Maintain planning, execution, and reporting of material management controls, including facilitating annual self-control and control of material security

• Maintain regulations, routines, and procedures for material management, as well as reporting status within relevant management areas
• Maintain systems for material security, as well as reporting on material security in accordance with current procedures

• Responsible for training personnel within material management

Qualifications

The position has the following requirements that must be met to be considered a relevant applicant:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, with a relevant professional background. Other education and long relevant experience with good results may, upon assessment, compensate for a lack of formal education
• Experience in material management

• Experience with the use of ERP-systems within material management
• Good oral and written presentation skills

In addition, it is desirable if you have:

• A relevant master's degree or education at an equivalent academic level
• Basic project education

• Experience in material procurement and material projects
• Experience in the field of logistics (for example, procurement, supply, warehouse, transport

Special requirements for a position in Etterretningstjenesten:

Applicants must satisfy the requirements for the highest security clearance.

For employment in Etterretningstjenesten, one cannot have any citizenship other than Norwegian at the time of employment.

The position is subject to the duty of mobilization, cf. the Defense Act and the Defense Personnel Regulations, which means that you can be ordered to international operations. This normally occurs on the basis of willingness. The duty of mobilization entails requirements for medical and physical fitness and basic English skills. If you do not meet the requirements, you have the opportunity to apply for a dispensation.

You will receive an annual salary within the range of NOK 690,000 – 830,000 in the position of Rådgiver (code: 1434) according to the current Hovedtariffavtale.
