Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Oversee the general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Financial Control & Compliance:

Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Coordinate tax filings, regulatory reporting, and external audits. Monitor financial risks and recommend control improvements.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis:

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support business decisions. Monitor operating costs and recommend opportunities for cost optimization.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement:

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff where applicable. Improve accounting processes and promote operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred. Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and internal controls. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
