TUNNEL SPECIALIST

The LDTS shall support in liaising and coordinating with the Client’s Consultant,Contractor(s), Interfacing Contractors, Instrumentation and Monitoring (IM) Contractor(s), including attend meetings, discussions, give presentations/briefings to the Authority, and/or other authorities and agencies to obtain approval to commence Works and/or whenever required. Scope of the LDTS shall include, but not limited to the following: ·       To provide specialist review of method statements, daily reports, records of installation,instrumentation reports, performance of all plants and equipment and any other associated submissions;  ·       To review the design and fabrication reports of the large diameter Slurry TBM and ancillary plants;  ·       To audit the Large Slurry TBM compliance with the design and provide specialist review during the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) ;  ·       To attend and provide specialist review on slurry TBM, plant setup and Site Acceptance Test (SAT); ·       To review tunneling parameters and instrumentation results throughout the period of tunneling and to provide comments and recommendation where required;  ·       To attend technical, safety and site meetings that require his advice and decision in relation to large diameter tunneling works;  ·       To attend any other meetings as required by the Authority’s Project Management Team to resolve coordination, technical, cost and other work-related issues;   ·       To provide monthly and final wrap-up review of Slurry TBM performance in relation to design,tunneling operation parameters, including modifications made to TBM &ancillary plant, processes, troubleshooting, comments & recommendations;
