Role Summary
The Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of Life Safety & Security electronic systems (CCTV, access control, alarm/intrusion systems, fire detection, perimeter protection, etc.) in the field, ensuring the qualitative and safe execution of works in accordance with technical specifications and scheduled timelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Installation, programming, and parameterization of electronic Life Safety & Security systems equipment, according to approved application studies.
- Execution of preventive maintenance according to the scheduled plan and manufacturer instructions.
- Diagnosis and troubleshooting in the field, aiming to minimize system downtime.
- Conducting tests, functional checks, and measurements during handover and after every intervention.
- Documentation of works through service reports / work orders and updating the relevant systems (ticketing).
- Collaboration with the Project/Contract Manager, the technical team, and the warehouse for the coordination of works and timely availability of materials.
- Adherence to Health & Safety rules and quality procedures during the execution of field works.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma of technical education in electronics or electrical engineering (e.g., EPAL, IEK, technical school)
- At least 2 years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of electronic systems, ideally in security and/or fire detection systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and studies, with basic familiarity with network/IP infrastructures.
- Driver's license holder and availability for travel and field work.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and the English language
Desirable Qualifications
- Manufacturer certifications in CCTV, access control, alarm, or fire detection systems.
- Knowledge of IP networks and basic principles of structured cabling.
- Previous experience in a similar field technician role in a security systems company.
