Functional ERP Engineer – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

We are looking for an experienced Functional ERP Engineer with extensive expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to lead, coordinate, and support complex multi-company ERP implementations. In this role, you will play a key role in the successful rollout of ERP solutions, the optimization of business processes, and providing functional support to stakeholders within various business units.

You will work closely with end users, project managers, technical consultants, and external partners to translate business needs into scalable solutions within Business Central. In doing so, you will ensure a smooth implementation and broad adoption within the organization.

Your responsibilities

• Coordinating and managing the functional implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across multiple companies and legal entities.
• Leading ERP implementation projects from A to Z: from needs analysis and design to implementation and post-go-live support.
• Analyzing business processes and translating them into functional solutions within Business Central.
• Configuring and maintaining Business Central according to business needs and best practices.
• Acting as the go-to functional expert for Business Central within the organization.
• Collaborating with technical teams to define, test, and validate custom developments and integrations.
• Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supporting change management activities.
• Drafting functional documentation, process descriptions, and training materials for users.
• Providing second-line functional support and resolving complex ERP issues.
• Ensuring consistent business processes across different companies, while respecting local operational requirements.
• Actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of the ERP landscape.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in coordinating, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in a multi-company environment.
• Demonstrable experience in leading functional ERP implementation projects, from analysis to go-live and aftercare.
• Thorough knowledge of Business Central modules such as Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing and/or Warehousing.
• Experience with multiple legal entities, intercompany processes, and standardized ERP rollouts.
• Strong insight into business processes and ERP best practices.
• Experience in aligning activities with external implementation partners and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously within an international environment.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
