SCADA Operator (Wind Turbines)

About the company

This UK-based renewable energy specialist provides nationwide operation, maintenance and technical support for onshore wind turbines in the 200kW to 850kW range. Operating across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the company delivers O&M, performance optimisation, technical upgrades and asset support to maximise turbine availability and long-term value.

Your tasks

In this role, you will monitor a portfolio of onshore wind turbines using SCADA and operational monitoring systems. You will analyse turbine data, monitor performance and availability, investigate alarms and faults, and support field engineering teams with technical information. You will receive training on wind turbine systems, developing your technical knowledge of turbine operation, performance and fault diagnosis while building a career in the renewable energy sector.

• Monitor onshore wind turbines using SCADA and operational monitoring systems
• Receive training on wind turbine systems, operation and performance
• Analyse turbine data, alarms, availability and generation
• Investigate faults, alarms and operational issues, escalating where required
• Identify trends and recurring issues through data analysis
• Support field engineers and O&M teams with technical information
• Produce operational and turbine performance reports
• Identify opportunities to improve turbine availability and efficiency
• Develop technical expertise within the renewable energy sector
• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Based from the Perth office

Requirements

Perth - Scotland Are you a SCADA Operator or similar with experience in SCADA, looking to develop your expertise in wind turbines, with full training provided on turbine systems and the opportunity to progress within the renewable energy sector?

This role would suit someone with experience in SCADA, control systems, power generation or technical operations who wants to develop their knowledge of wind turbines.

The Person

• Experience with SCADA systems, control systems or remote monitoring platforms
• Background in power generation, electrical engineering, industrial automation or a similar technical environment
• Experience analysing technical or operational data
• Commutable to Perth

What we offer

£40,000 - £55,000 + Monday - Friday + Training + Progression + Company Benefits
