About the company

Ericsson AB Job description: Join our Team About the Opportunity Help build and run the network infrastructure that enables Ericsson’s R&D teams to develop and test what’s next. As part of the Network Evolution Unit, you’ll work across network and lab environments to deploy and operate reliable infrastructure. This is an infrastructure-led DevOps role: you’ll use software, automation and secure ways of working to improve services throughout their lifecycle. This is an opportunity for a curious, hands-on problem solver. Recent graduates and candidates with up to around five years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. DevOps candidates are welcome: you don’t need to be a security specialist, but you should care about building and operating services securely.

Your tasks

What you’ll do • Investigate issues in dedicated lab and network environments, find root causes and help resolve service requests and reported problems. • Install, configure, upgrade and deploy network systems and services, supporting a reliable, business-like lab environment. • Develop and improve automation to reduce manual tasks and make operations more consistent. • Support both new and existing services, including maintaining and adapting configurations created by others. • Help monitor service health, communicate performance, changes and risks, and contribute to timely incident resolution and escalation. • Work with stakeholders and third-party vendors to support deployments and improve the services delivered to users. • Apply security and compliance practices throughout development and operations, and contribute to reliable, well-documented ways of working.

Network infrastructure is at the heart of this role. You’ll combine infrastructure knowledge with development and operations, using automation to improve delivery while helping maintain service availability and resolve issues. Security is built into the work, not a separate specialty.

Requirements

What you’ll bring • A degree or relevant coursework in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent practical knowledge. • A foundation or strong interest in IP networking, network topologies, data-centre infrastructure and network services. Relevant coursework, projects or hands-on experience are valuable. • Some experience through work, studies, projects or internships in network or systems infrastructure, operations, or DevOps and software development. Early-career applicants are very welcome. • A willingness to code and automate. Python is used frequently; experience with Bash, Java, scripting or other programming languages is useful. • Familiarity with Linux or Unix, troubleshooting, and APIs such as REST. • A security-aware mindset, collaborative approach, and clear communication skills.

Experience with cloud technologies, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, microservices, Spring Boot, SQL or agile methods is beneficial. You don’t need to know every technology listed; curiosity and the ability to learn matter.

Other

Security clearance, references and relevant background screening will be conducted for final candidates.
