Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + up to £2,000 Ofsted bonus
Location: Aylesbury | Full-time, Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead and develop a children's residential home, providing a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people with complex needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the home's day-to-day operation, lead a dedicated team and play a key role in achieving high standards of care and positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the children's home
- Lead, manage and develop the staff team
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and quality assurance
- Build strong relationships with families, social workers and external professionals
- Prepare the home for Ofsted inspection and drive continuous improvement
- Lead the Ofsted registration process
Essential Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' residential childcare experience within the last 5 years
- Previous management/senior leadership experience within a children's residential home
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children's home regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
