Lantmännen Biorefineries and the Food Ingredients Business Area work with refining grain and circular by-products – which then become ingredients and products for the food industry. The production facilities are located in Kimstad, Lidköping, and Norrköping.

One of the ingredients produced is gluten. Gluten is a component that – among several different applications – is important for increasing volume and stability for bread and bakery products. Gluten is a major product within the Food Ingredients business area.

Right now, we are looking for you who want to drive continued sales and good relationships within the segment – and shoulder a key role within the sales organization!

About the role

As KAM within gluten, you will work with both new customer contacts and the further development of existing relationships. The sales processes are complex and require a systematic approach. Commercial drive, strong analytical ability, and good negotiation experience are important to succeed in the role.

Today, customers are primarily located in the Nordics and Northern Europe, but also in the USA and Asia.

You report to Head of Sales for Food Ingredients and work closely with the rest of the sales team. You also collaborate with internal functions such as logistics, production, controlling, product and application development, as well as business development.

The position is located at Lantmännen's headquarters in Stockholm or at one of the facilities in Norrköping, Kimstad, or Lidköping.

Main tasks:

  • Independently plan and execute sales activities towards your customers
  • Lead customer negotiations
  • Market monitoring regarding competitors, prices, availability, etc.
  • Budget responsibility for your own customer portfolio as well as following up on results and profitability
  • Contribute data for budget, forecasts, and strategic planning
  • Work structured in the CRM system to document activities and develop market engagement
  • Participate in relevant trade fairs
  • Be involved in product development projects with customers based on needs and opportunities

We are looking for you who have

  • Academic education in a relevant field or equivalent competence acquired through work experience
  • Experience in complex B2B sales within ingredients, for the food industry, or a very similar process industry
  • Experience with international customers and markets
  • Experience in following market prices and making decisions based on business data
  • Fluent in English – and likely Swedish – in speech and writing

Meritorious experiences

  • Experience of sales towards bakery customers
  • Experience of sales via resellers
  • Basic understanding of product development and production processes

Who are you?

We believe that you are analytical, self-driven, and have a strong commercial drive. You have an understanding of how large manufacturing organizations function and what complex sales processes look like.

You are a person who takes initiative, works proactively, and has the ability to drive business in a structured manner. You also have the capacity to handle several parallel projects.

You are brave and enjoy contacting new customers. When you present business proposals, you naturally base them on business benefits, business cases, and well-founded data. You also understand that sales within this type of business is built on long-term relationships and persistent work.

Application

Please submit your application as soon as possible. The last application date is 23/8. Please note that the advertisement may be taken down earlier as we work with continuous selection. If the advertisement remains, the position has not been filled but the process is ongoing. During July, we will receive applications, but feedback may be delayed until August due to holiday periods.

A personal letter is not necessary in this recruitment; instead, please place more focus on the selection questions.
