Your tasks
As an Industrial Projects Procurement Consultant, you will work on steering and optimizing procurement related to industrial projects on behalf of several of our clients. You will support project and technical teams in structuring and deploying high-performance procurement systems, aligned with cost, quality, deadline, and risk challenges.
In this role, you will work in contact with demanding and multi-stakeholder industrial environments, serving the success of projects (investments, industrialization, new products, technical modifications, CAPEX). You will actively contribute to the definition and implementation of project procurement strategies and associated categories.
In this framework, you will intervene across the entire project procurement cycle, notably:
- Steering the project procurement process from the expression of need to contractual and financial closure
- Launching, managing, and monitoring orders related to equipment, components, technical services, and industrial services
- Building and deploying project procurement strategies and industrial categories in the short and medium term
- Analyzing technical needs in connection with engineering, production, and quality teams
- Consulting, evaluating, and selecting industrial and technical suppliers
- Negotiating commercial and contractual conditions while respecting cost, quality, deadline, and performance objectives
- Coordinating suppliers on project milestones, schedules, deliverables, and industrial constraints
- Managing supplier risks and schedule/cost deviations in interface with project teams
- Implementing procurement action plans and industrial commodity strategies
The scope covers procurement related to industrial projects: equipment, mechanics, electronics, technical parts, materials, sub-assemblies, engineering services, and technical services.
Depending on your experience and interests, you may also work on other procurement segments or contribute to transformation and structuring projects for the procurement function in an industrial environment.
Requirements
With higher education in procurement, engineering, or supply chain, you have at least 3 years of experience in project procurement in an industrial environment, ideally in technical and international contexts (industry, equipment, CAPEX projects, industrialization, new products).
The expected skills for this position are as follows:
- Good knowledge of industrial supplier markets (equipment, technical parts, engineering services, industrial subcontracting) and the ability to conduct targeted market analyses and studies
- Ability to identify, qualify, and evaluate suppliers in a project and multi-constraint context
- Mastery of the project tender process: scoping needs with technical teams, consultation, techno-economic analysis, negotiation, and contracting
- Autonomous steering of procurement over the project cycle, from the expression of need to contractual security
- Management of project procurement risks (technical, supply, schedule, supplier dependency, cost deviations)
- Good understanding of quality, compliance, contractual, and HSE requirements in an industrial environment
- Ability to interact with technical and project stakeholders (engineering, production, quality, finance) and to influence decisions in a cross-functional context
- Excellent mastery of Excel and PowerPoint for project analysis, steering, and reporting
- Fluent professional English, both spoken and written, in an international supplier and project context
- Practice of a Procurement IS / ERP (SAP, Oracle, Ivalua, Coupa, etc.) is a plus
What we offer
We promote skill development and mobility: you will be led to evolve across different project contexts, procurement categories, and industrial sectors.
