Junior Business Controller

At EOC Group, we believe that strong financial insights form the foundation for growth and improvement. For our Finance team in Oudenaarde, we are looking for a Junior Business Controller who is analytically strong, enjoys collaborating, and wants to contribute to better decisions within the organization.

You will enter an international context and work closely with various departments such as Sales, Operations, and Purchasing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact and further develop yourself within controlling.

Job Description

As a Junior Business Controller, you support the organization with financial analyses and insights:

• You analyze operational costs and compare budgets with actual results (gap analysis)
• You perform margin analyses in close collaboration with Sales and Purchasing (actual vs. budget/forecast)
• You act as a sparring partner for various departments such as Operations and Sales
• You participate in projects and support management with financial follow-up
• You monitor inventories, analyze slow and obsolete stock, and propose actions
• You work together with the Business Control team to further optimize processes and best practices
• You contribute to continuous improvement by refining reporting and increasing data quality
• You calculate scenarios, business cases, and the impact on working capital
• You define and monitor KPIs, such as stock risks and performance indicators
• You hold a master's degree in an economic field (such as Handelsingenieur, TEW, or Finance) and have at least 2 years of experience as a Financial or Business Controller
• You work analytically and structured, think critically, and communicate smoothly with various stakeholders whom you enjoy working with
• You have a good knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, functions, data analysis) and preferably experience with SAP or another ERP system
• You speak fluent English, given the international context
