Role Description
Are you a customer-focused, problem-solving whizz with a knack for building great relationships? We're looking for a Junior Travel Manager to join our superstar travel & operations team. In this role, you'll be a main point of contact for our clients, helping them plan and book their dream travel experiences in Africa. You'll work across a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring every traveler's journey is smooth, well organized, and enjoyable from start to finish. You will work closely with the Travel Management & Operations teams to deliver all deliverables in this fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities
Manage and nurture a portfolio of client accounts, building strong business relationships that convert into repeat customers and long-term partners. Engaging with new clients and business leads as required and supporting conversion into confirmed business. Research into and crafting itinerary & experience proposals based on client requirements and internal product planning - including flights, accommodations, events, activities and concierge services. Assisting with the logistical planning and success of confirmed trips & ground experiences as assigned. Providing timely support to client accounts as assigned. Effectively managing all client communications before, during & post-travel. Managing all correspondence and engagements with vendors and ground-service providers across our various destinations as required. Researching into new & existing travel destinations, curating & building on our products and vetting suitable ground vendors & partners for our clients and catalogues. Ensuring the company vendor & product catalogues are updated at all times. Support our marketing team with the development of our travel media assets including our brochures, promo flyers, campaign assets, marketing collateral, etc. Maintaining accurate and organized client records and ensuring all work is effectively logged through the right channels and with the designated procedures. Participating in brand content, promoting and being an all-round ambassador of the brand. Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time to support the travel management & operations teams and the company’s growth.
Reporting Line: You will work closely with an assigned Senior Travel Manager and will be managed by the Travel Supervisor.

Essential Skills:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant or related field. Adaptability and the ability to switch focus easily and think on your feet. Excellent written & verbal communication. An enthusiastic and dedicated individual ready to learn on the job, and to commit hard work to a growing start up. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and excellent planning, administration & research skills. A good understanding of travel experiences & the tourism landscape (African countries desirable) Proficiency in Microsoft Office software [specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook] or Google Docs Editors suite [specifically Docs, Sheets & Forms]. Ability to collaborate and work with various stakeholders at different levels. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing and multi-tasking effectively. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. A customer-focused mindset with a strong affinity for problem-solving. A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, with and in a team environment. A willingness to contribute productively to the team growth and to personal development. Great work ethic with a positive, proactive, enthusiastic & can-do attitude.
Additional Skills
Previous experience in an administrative or project management environment will be a plus. Previous experience in travel management or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of Canva is desirable French is desirable

Travel and Hours
This role may necessitate travel within the country and within the continent.
This role may require some non-traditional working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Given that we work across different time zones, some non-traditional hours for early or later client calls are an expectation of this role.
