Heavy-Duty Electrician

Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair heavy-duty electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Diagnose electrical faults and perform corrective actions promptly. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other trades to support operations. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely solutions.

Requirements: OND Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a heavy-duty electrician in industrial or construction settings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, transformers, and control panels. Ability to use diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment. Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to work in demanding environments (lifting, climbing, confined spaces).
