Your role in the team: Making data from machines all over the world available - from the Edge Device to the Cloud. You develop the services through which machine and process data enter our digital products. This places you at one of the most exciting points in the system: between the injection molding machine, Edge, and Cloud.

• You develop Backend Services between our ENGEL Edge Devices and the Cloud applications, both directly on the Edge Device and in our IoT platform.
• You work with data from our injection molding machines, ranging from machine status and production information to process data. In doing so, you ensure that this data is processed reliably and performantly - even with several thousand machines.
• In an agile team, you further develop existing services and design new solutions with exciting topics surrounding IoT, distributed systems, and modern software architecture.
• You think beyond your own service and consider how your solution interacts with other components, what impact changes have on the data pipeline, and what ultimately reaches our customers.
• You work with a modern Tech Stack that is primarily based on Java, Spring Boot, and Gradle. Additionally, we rely on Kotlin, Spring WebFlux, Docker, Kafka, MQTT, Kubernetes, and Linux.

What you bring to the table:

• Technical education (HTL, FH/Uni) with a focus on Software Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable
• Good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Gradle as well as Kotlin
• Interest in IoT, distributed systems, and the processing of machine data; Kubernetes, Docker, Mqtt, Kafka and Co. are a plus
• Interest in modern AI-supported development methods
• You work independently, are eager to learn, analyze complex relationships with enthusiasm, and find pragmatic solutions.
• You enjoy working with other teams and want to understand the overall system behind your software. We are looking for team players who think beyond their own code and develop sustainable solutions together.
• Very good English skills (at least B2) for working in an international environment

• A monthly gross salary starting from € 3,535.00 (HTL graduation) or € 3,885.00 (BSc graduation), which we will determine together according to your profile (based on full-time and KV Metalltechnische Industrie)
