Expert Heavy-Duty Inland Waterway Transport (m/f/d) (Logistics Specialist)

ENERCON GmbH Your tasks:

• Shifting heavy-duty transports to inland waterways, taking budget and feasibility into account
• Single Point of Contact for inland waterway concepts
• Calculation and evaluation of the commercial impact of planned transports, so that decisions can be made on a solid basis
• Creation of tender templates and support for tender processes
• Needs analysis of inland waterway transport, identification of suitable transport solutions, and development of concrete port and transport concepts
• Selection of optimal inland ports in consultation with project management and examination of technical and operational infrastructure on-site with logistics procurement
• Implementation of concepts and regular monitoring of strategy and planning

Your qualifications:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in the field of logistics, transport, engineering, or comparable
• Several years of experience in inland waterway shipping with a sound understanding of the technical challenges in the transport business as well as very good market knowledge
• Ideally experience in the field of heavy-duty transport in inland waterway shipping as well as solid technical expertise
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Strong commercial competence: ability to evaluate transport concepts economically, analyze key figures, and prepare decision-making bases
• Analytical, planning, and innovative mindset with a focus on sustainable solutions for heavy transports on waterways
• Established network in inland waterway shipping (e.g., shipowners, ports, operational decision-makers) that contributes to the efficient handling of processes
• High degree of ownership: proactive recognition of problems, solution-oriented communication, and independent development of improvement measures
• You succeed in a small team in preparing things so that your partner can use them without great effort
• Willingness to travel within Germany and adjacent countries (approx. 10 %)
