We are looking for a Junior/Mid Python Developer to join the team developing a platform for automation and management of private cloud environments. You will work mainly with Python, backend, API, and automation. We do not expect you to know all the technologies from our stack from day one. What is important to us are good programming fundamentals, logical thinking, and the desire to develop towards backend / cloud / automation. On a daily basis, you will collaborate with Backend Developers, DevOps, and Frontend Developers. This is a project where you can gain practical experience not only in Python itself, but also in the area of cloud infrastructure and automation. We work on a solution that allows for the automation and management of private cloud infrastructure, including in VMware and OpenStack environments.

Daily tasks

  • developing and maintaining the backend in Python,
  • creating and integrating REST API,
  • integration with external services and systems,
  • working with VMware and OpenStack solutions,
  • creating automation and workflows related to infrastructure management,
  • working with databases, mainly PostgreSQL / MSSQL,
  • using Docker and container environments,
  • working with asynchronous tasks, e.g., Celery / RabbitMQ,
  • writing and developing unit tests,
  • analyzing and resolving bugs and technical problems,
  • participating in code review and technical discussions,
  • collaborating with Backend, DevOps, and Frontend teams,
  • working with Git and in a Linux environment.

Requirements

minimum 2 years of commercial experience in Python, good knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming fundamentals, knowledge of REST API fundamentals, experience with databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MSSQL, basic knowledge of Docker, knowledge of Git, basic knowledge of the Linux environment, ability to independently search for solutions and solve problems, completed studies in computer science or a related field – minimum Bachelor's/Engineer level, knowledge of the English language is mandatory – we need a person who can communicate freely in English in daily work and during technical discussions.
