We are seeking a highly competent and pragmatic Software Engineer to join our team for mission-critical projects. You will be responsible for re-architecting and rewriting existing Golang services into idiomatic, performant Java. We prioritize engineering excellence, readability, and maintainability. We are looking for an engineer who understands how to build robust, idiomatic systems, avoids "over-engineering" and is deeply committed to selecting the right tool for the job. You will work in a collaborative environment where technical integrity and clear, maintainable code are the standard. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Core Engineering: Lead the rewrite of mission-critical services from Golang to idiomatic, clean, and maintainable Java. Pragmatic Problem Solving: Demonstrate a "right tool for the right job" approach. You avoid blindly writing code and instead focus on solving problems effectively for long-term system stability. Technical Documentation: You naturally document your architectural decisions, problem-solving rationale, and complex logic directly within the codebase. Your code serves as a clear narrative, ensuring that future maintenance is straight forward and well-understood. Innovation: Bring enthusiasm to technical challenges. Proactively propose new ideas or solutions when standard approaches fall short. Technical Integrity: Ensure all code is robust, testable, and mission-critical grade. Tooling: Use AI tools judiciously to handle boilerplate or repetitive tasks, but ensure that the core logic, architectural decisions, and final quality remain driven by your own expertise and critical thinking. Skillset:- Primary Languages: Expert proficiency in Java (idiomatic) and Golang. Database: Proficiency in moderate-level SQL with an open-minded approach to database optimization and exploring new data storage patterns. Secondary Skills (Basic usage knowledge sufficient): Message Queues (e.g., Kafka) S3Object Storage Networking& Routing fundamentals Concurrentprogramming SpringEcosystem Angular Qualifications Experience:5–8 years of professional software development experience. Strongbackground in building and maintaining distributed systems. Demonstratedexperience in mission-critical environments where stability and reliability areparamount. Acritical thinker who values long-term maintainability over quick fixes and is comfortable collaborating closely with a technical team.
