SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER
Position Summary: The Operations Manager overseesthe daily workings of the warehouse and assembly operations, manages qualityassurance, inventory, distribution of goods, facility layout; implements newtechnologies and alternative methods of warehouse efficiency, analyzesstatistics and presents findings to stakeholders and higher management. The incumbent ensures shipment deadlines aremet and maintains a high quality of product production and delivery. The position calls for someone with stronganalytical capabilities who is self-motivated, results-oriented and demonstratesthe acumen to deliverexcellent customer service toour clients. Job Responsibilities: · Manage and direct supply chainand daily operation activities including shipping, transport, warehousing,distribution, sourcing and inventory control. · Plan, schedule and reviewworkload and manpower to ensure targets are being met on a cost-effectivebasis. · Manage stock control and ensurethat inventory records are accurate. · Perform quality controls byensuring all goods received and shipped are in alignment with specificationsand quality requirements. · Communicate with all relevant partiesto ensure delivery times are met. · Communicate any changes in the deliveriesto all relevant parties and follow up on interruptions to the deliveries. · Organize, plan, and implementinventory activities. · Improve operational systems,processes and best practices for organizational well-being. · Contribute towards theachievement of Company’s strategic and operational objectives. · Champion and lead Emerson PerfectExecution Program such as expanding Express Range continuously, reducing thelead time and improving the service level to customers as well as operationefficiency by waste elimination through Lean Projects. · Supervise and train a team ofwarehouse workers and assemblers, tracking and measuring their performance. Ensure that the team has enough time toassemble and deliver products based on clients’ requests on a cost-effectivebasis. · Ensure that health and safetyregulations of the warehouse and assembly operations are strictly adhered to. Qualification/Experience/Skills: · Master/Bachelor degree in logistics and supply chain management or business management · Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations strategy management. · Experience in the strategic planning and transportation of products, ensuring that goods are delivered in a good state and on time. · Experience in negotiating and working with freight forwarders, overseas factories, suppliers. · Knowledge of managing returns and rejections professionally and promptly with factories. · Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics. · Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. · Ability to manage time and workload effectively to meet tight deadlines and targets. · Strong leadership and organizational skills. · Ability to work in a team environment to engage and motivate team members.
