Lead Engineer in datacenter

What are my tasks? As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in Eltel's initiative within Data Centers and Emerging Services. You will translate complex customer inquiries and technical documentation into well-founded estimates, competitive tenders, and feasible project solutions. The role combines technical expertise with commercial understanding and involves close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders such as project management, procurement, and management. You will function as technical support throughout the entire project journey and contribute to developing working methods, collaborations, and capacity that strengthen Eltel's long-term ability to deliver large datacenter projects.
Examples of tasks:
Lead technical reviews of customer inquiries and tenders. Analyze drawings, BOQ:s, and technical specifications as well as assess project scope, risks, and resource requirements. Prepare estimates for installation contracts and assess costs for, among other things, labor, logistics, safety, and installation methods. Identify technical and commercial risks as well as challenge the customer's quantities and assumptions. Develop estimation models, installation methods, production setups, and standardized working methods. Support the project organization in complex technical issues, supplier selection, production planning, and project kick-offs. Act as a technical contact person for the customer and participate in customer presentations and tender negotiations. Build relationships with customers, consultants, suppliers, and specialists as well as contribute to Eltel's strategy and growth within the datacenter segment.
The location is in Sweden, preferably in Bromma, but most important to us is finding the right competence. The role involves frequent travel within Sweden and the Nordics and gives you the opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues across borders, including in Finland.

We are looking for you who have solid experience from power engineering, datacenter, or larger industrial installations and who understand both the technical and commercial sides of large installation contracts. You can immerse yourself in extensive documentation, create structure in complex information, and translate it into clear recommendations, estimates, and decisions.
We would like to see that you have:
Deep technical understanding within power engineering, datacenter, or larger industrial installations. Experience of EPC, design-build, or installation contracts. Documented experience of estimation and tender work. Ability to analyze drawings, BOQ:s, and technical specifications. Ability to produce cost estimates and assess productivity, logistics, installation methods, as well as technical and commercial risks. Experience of working with international customers and contractors. Very good ability to communicate and work in English.
It is meritorious if you have experience from datacenter projects in hyperscale environments or of commissioning and startup. If you speak Swedish, that is also meritorious.
As a person, you are analytical and structured, while also being self-driven and comfortable taking responsibility for complex technical and commercial issues. You combine technical understanding with business acumen and cost awareness.
