Your tasks
- Strategic tender management: Plan and control demanding tenders for direct and indirect materials, including textiles, packaging and energy, as well as for services. In doing so, you develop resilient procurement strategies and win the right partners for long-term cooperation.
- Contract and price negotiations: Independently conduct negotiations with local and international suppliers and secure competitive prices, conditions and contract terms. In doing so, you represent the purchasing interests confidently and with the necessary assertiveness.
- Supplier management: Strategically develop existing supplier relationships, monitor contract fulfillment and continuously optimize the supplier portfolio. You identify and qualify new suppliers in a targeted manner.
- Purchasing and market analyses: Analyze procurement markets, supplier and product portfolios as well as cost structures to identify potential early on and make well-founded purchasing decisions.
- Savings & cost optimization: Systematically identify saving potential and develop concrete measures for cost reduction. In doing so, you go beyond short-term price optimizations and view the entire procurement sustainably and strategically.
- Sourcing: Independently develop sourcing strategies, tap into new sources of supply and actively shape our supplier and product portfolio.
- Process optimization: Critically question existing purchasing processes and contribute your own ideas to make processes more efficient, transparent and economical. In doing so, you take responsibility and implement improvements independently.
- International cooperation: Work closely with stakeholders in our branches, sales and the international Headquarter in France and actively contribute your purchasing expertise to cross-departmental projects.
- Personal responsibility: Take responsibility for your topics, actively drive decisions forward and lend a hand even where it goes beyond the classic range of tasks. We are explicitly looking for a person who does not just meet the minimum but actively thinks ahead and drives improvements.
Your profile
- Professional experience: At least 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in a position as Strategic Buyer (m/w/d) / Strategischer Einkäufer (m/w/d).
- Seniority: You bring a distinctly senior profile and have already independently been responsible for strategic purchasing projects, tenders, negotiations and supplier relationships.
- Strategic purchasing: Experience in the development and implementation of sourcing and purchasing strategies as well as in the sustainable optimization of supplier and product portfolios.
- Commodity group knowledge: Ideally, you have experience in the areas of textiles, energy, packaging or chemicals or cleaning agents.
- Negotiation competence: You appear confidently and assertively in price and contract negotiations and know how to achieve viable solutions even with differing interests.
- Analytical skills: You analyze complex data, cost structures and procurement markets confidently and derive concrete measures and saving potential from them.
- Initiative: You do not wait for instructions, but recognize the need for action independently, develop solutions and implement them consistently. You also proactively tackle additional topics beyond your actual area of responsibility.
- Education: A completed degree in business administration or commercial training forms a good basis for your activity.
- IT skills: You are confident and experienced in using MS Office, especially Excel. SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Language skills: You have business fluent command of English in speaking and writing and can move confidently in an international environment.
- Decision-making strength: You make clear decisions even in complex matters, represent your position convincingly and consistently drive necessary topics forward.
