Database Administrator

Elion Solutions is looking for a Sybase DBA having minimum 5yrs (Min) to 8yrs of relevant experience in Sybase database administration. The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment. Willing to work in rotation shift, last shift completes at 12.30am and Weekend Support is required. Mandatory to work on every 3rd Saturday of given month.

Skills required :

• Must have strong technical knowledge in Sybase ASE, Replication server and Postgres.
• Backup and restore of databases.
• Tuning databases and application queries and perform server access/login management.
• Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and resolving database integrity issues.
• Experience to Production Server Environment.
• Should have handled database installations, upgrade & patching as Sybase and Postgres DBA.
• Application DBA Exposure.
• Sybase ASE 15.x/ Postgres 12.x and above database administration experience.
• Knowledge in Replication, Clustering in Sybase/Postgres 12.x and above.
• Exposure to new features of current ASE /PostgreSQL version.
• Development support/ debugging BAU issues.
• OS level activities related to database tasks.
• Log, scheduled Job Management through Control-M or similar products.
• Schema Object, Partition Management.
• Expertise in handling Database Maintenance related to Index and DBCC.
• Manage Capacity planning of entire Sybase and Postgres estate.
• Unix, Linux experience is desired.
• Experience in writing - Ansible, DB Scripting and Shell scripts.
