FULL-TIME ART & DESIGN ONLINE TEACHER

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, highly competent, and learner-centred ART & DESIGN Teacher to join the Elimu Plus Homeschool full-time online teaching team.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, structured, and interactive online lessons to learners following the Kenyan and/or British Curriculum .

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging live online lessons and prepare digital learning materials.
• Follow the relevant curriculum, syllabus, and academic plans.
• Assess learner progress, mark assignments, and provide timely feedback.
• Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate academic and learner records.
• Communicate professionally with learners, parents, and colleagues.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and professional online learning environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

The successful candidate must have:

• ✅ A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education related course or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) , with Art and Design as a teaching subject.
• ✅ A valid TSC number .
• ✅ At least 2 years of teaching experience .
• ✅ Demonstrable ability to teach Art and Design under the CBC and Cambridge Curriculum.
• ✅ Reliable internet connection and backup connectivity.
• ✅ A laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and headset.
• ✅ Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, within the school's working hours.

ADDED ADVANTAGES

The following will be an added advantage:

• Experience teaching international learners in Cambridge, CBC/CBE training.
• Experience teaching in an online school or virtual learning environment.
• Proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other virtual learning platforms.
• ICT integration in teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication, online classroom management, and organisational skills.
