Panel Wirer

Elevation Recruitment Group – Skilled Shop Floor Division is currently recruiting for a Panel Wirer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in the Bradford area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Panel Wirer to join a growing manufacturing environment, working as part of a skilled team and producing high-quality wiring and electrical assemblies.

Location: Bradford Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Job Type: Permanent

The Role

As a Panel Wirer, you will be responsible for carrying out wiring assembly and work to drawings, specifications and established manufacturing processes. You will need to have good attention to detail, be confident working from schematic drawings and take pride in producing neat, consistent and high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret basic schematic drawings, G/A drawings, CDRs and D&P drawings and identify relevant components.
• Strip and crimp cables ranging from 0.75mm to 120mm using hand tools and machinery.
• Create and assemble screen and Ethernet cables.
• Produce basic wiring to a consistently high and uniform standard.
• Work in line with company processes, standards and operating procedures.
• Organise and prioritise workload effectively to meet production requirements.
• Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
• Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
• Share knowledge and skills with colleagues where required.
• Operate and maintain Kanban systems and monitor consumable stock levels.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and company targets.

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a manufacturing electrical assembly environment, with hands-on experience of wiring to schematic diagrams.

You will also have:

• Experience of electrical wiring, cable preparation and/or crimping.
• The ability to read and understand schematic and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A practical and proactive approach to problem solving.
• The ability to identify issues and consider practical solutions.
• A positive attitude, with the drive and commitment to achieve both personal and company objectives.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• A willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.
