Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Location: Leeds Hours: 2pm – 10pm

The Role:

Are you a hands-on Engineering Technician who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and keeping production running smoothly?

Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Leeds to recruit a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues and drive improvements within a modern, quality-focused manufacturing environment.

As the Manufacturing Engineering Technician you will:

• Take ownership of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Diagnosing and resolving equipment faults to minimise downtime.
• Supporting manufacturing engineers with technical projects and process improvements.
• Coordinating maintenance activities, contractors and facilities support.
• Carrying out Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including Gauge R&R studies.
• Investigating equipment issues and implementing long-term solutions.
• Managing engineering spares, tools and maintenance records.
• Supporting continuous improvement, quality and safety initiatives.

About you:

• Level 3 Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) or at least 3 years' relevant engineering/maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance, equipment troubleshooting or technical support.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, practical approach.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience with continuous improvement activities.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing, Gauge R&R/MSA studies or coordinating maintenance contractors
