RICS Qualified Estates Manager

£60,000 – £70,000 + benefits | On-site

Elevation Recruitment Group Business Support Team are exclusively supporting a well-established, multi-site UK organisation with the appointment of a RICS Qualified Estates Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced property professional looking for a challenging, varied and commercially focused role, with responsibility for a substantial UK portfolio spanning retail and residential property.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of approximately 150 retail stores and 70 residential units, working closely with the Head of Property to deliver the wider estates strategy.

This is a broad role covering everything from lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions and disposals through to landlord & tenant matters, disputes, dilapidations, tenancy agreements and property-related legal issues.

You'll also:

  • Manage day-to-day estates and landlord relationships
  • Negotiate leases, renewals and transactions
  • Manage commercial and residential lettings
  • Oversee business rates and dilapidations
  • Work closely with Legal, Finance, Operations and Maintenance
  • Manage solicitors, agents, surveyors and other external advisers
  • Identify opportunities to improve the value and performance of the estate
  • Manage and support one Property Co-ordinator
  • Provide commercial recommendations and reporting to senior management

About You

We're looking for a RICS-qualified property professional with at least 5 years' experience who can demonstrate:

  • Strong retail and residential property experience
  • Experience managing a multi-site portfolio
  • Excellent landlord & tenant and lease negotiation knowledge
  • Experience dealing with disputes, dilapidations and property legal matters
  • Experience across acquisitions, disposals and estates management
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Confidence managing both internal stakeholders and external professional advisers

This would suit someone who enjoys ownership, variety and solving complex property challenges, rather than a role focused solely on day-to-day estates management.
