Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a fast-growing global business looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join its finance team in Sheffield.

Your tasks

This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant to take ownership of a varied portfolio of entities, gaining broad exposure across financial and management accounting within a fast-paced, international environment. You'll play a key role in the month-end process, financial reporting and the preparation of management accounts, while continuing to develop your technical skills and professional qualifications.

Your responsibilities will include

• Preparing monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
• Supporting the month-end close process, including accruals and prepayments.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Preparing statutory reports and supporting statutory reporting requirements.
• Assisting with audit preparation and liaising with auditors where required.
• Completing payroll reconciliations and ensuring financial records are accurate.
• Managing the accounting requirements of a portfolio of entities, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Requirements

We're keen to hear from candidates who have

• Experience in a broad accounting role, ideally within a multi-entity environment.
• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month-end processes.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• A proactive approach, with the confidence to take ownership of responsibilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Part-qualified or newly qualified status, or currently studying towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
