Job Summary

Join Elevate Dental as a Dental Receptionist cum Dental Assistant, rotating between reception and clinical duties depending on clinic's daily schedule and operational needs to support smooth operations and deliver excellent patient care in a growing, flexible team.

You will generally focus on one function at a time rather than being expected to handle reception and chairside assisting simultaneously.

Cross-training is an important part of this role. We want every team member to become comfortable supporting both the front desk and clinical operations, so that the clinic can continue to run smoothly when team members are on leave, during busy periods or when additional support is needed.

Responsibilities

Reception & Patient Service

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally to create a positive first impression
  • Manage appointment scheduling and update clinic calendars accurately
  • Answer phone calls promptly and respond to patient enquiries clearly
  • Assist patients with appointment bookings, changes, and follow-ups
  • Process patient registration, payments, and basic billing transactions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and administrative records
  • Keep the reception area clean, organised, and welcoming
  • Support general administrative and clinic tasks as needed

Dental Assisting

  • Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments and materials efficiently
  • Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments before and after procedures
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilise dental instruments following clinic protocols
  • Assist with X-rays and other procedures when trained and authorised
  • Monitor and replenish dental and clinical supplies to ensure readiness
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas for safety and efficiency
  • Prepare rooms and instruments promptly for the next patient
  • Support daily clinical operations to ensure smooth workflow

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in reception, customer service, clinic administration, or hospitality is advantageous
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves regular communication with patients.
  • Prior dental experience is preferred but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and participate actively in dental assisting duties
  • A good team player with a positive attitude

Additional Information:

  • Working hours: Mon-Fri: 9am - 6pm Sat: 9am - 1pm Sundays off
