Senior Technical Lead
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Lead and provide technical direction across solar and energy-related projects. Oversee technical planning, execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems. Review technical designs, specifications, drawings, and project requirements. Identify and resolve technical challenges during project execution. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technical team members.
Solar System Design & Implementation:
Support the design and deployment of solar PV, inverter, battery storage, and related electrical systems. Ensure installations are properly designed, executed, tested, and commissioned. Evaluate technical requirements and recommend appropriate equipment and system configurations. Ensure technical work meets applicable safety, quality, and performance standards.
Project & Team Coordination:
Coordinate with project teams, technicians, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. Monitor technical project progress and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines. Supervise technical teams and ensure adherence to approved designs and procedures. Review completed installations and identify areas requiring improvement.
Technical Quality & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues relating to solar and electrical systems. Conduct technical inspections and quality checks. Ensure proper documentation of technical activities, installations, testing, and maintenance. Recommend improvements to system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Requirements:
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Proven professional experience in a technical engineering role. Strong practical knowledge of solar energy systems is highly preferred. Experience with solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, electrical installations, or related energy technologies is an advantage. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and take ownership of technical projects. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Good understanding of engineering principles, safety practices, and technical documentation. Strong communication and project coordination skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Must be willing to work in Ibadan, Oyo State.
