Assistant Sourcing Manager – Direct Material

Location: Chon Buri (On-site) Work Hours: Mon – Fri (8:00 – 17:00)

Job Overview: In this role, you will work closely with the Asia Category Sourcing Team and cross-functional teams to develop competitive suppliers, drive cost optimization, strengthen local and ASEAN sourcing, and ensure a reliable and competitive supply base.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing Strategy & Alignment: Align ECI Thailand sourcing activities with Asia Category strategies, conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking and total cost evaluations.

1. Direct Material Sourcing:

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier identification, RFQ, quotation analysis, commercial evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier selection.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to support new projects, product changes, and material requirements.

1. ASEAN Supplier Development : Identify, qualify, and onboard competitive suppliers across Thailand and ASEAN; establish strong second-source models to mitigate supply risks.

1. Local Sourcing & Cost Improvement (VA/VE): Drive sustained cost reduction initiatives through supplier competition, localization projects, VA/VE, and commercial renegotiations.

1. Payment Terms & Cash Flow Management: Negotiate optimized payment terms with suppliers in coordination with Finance to enhance company cash flow.

1. Supplier Performance & Risk Management

• Monitor & Improve Performance: Track supplier KPIs across Cost, Quality, Delivery, Capacity, and Service (QCDS) while driving improvement plans.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify supply chain risks, build contingency plans, and resolve critical commercial or supply issues.

1. Sourcing Governance: Ensure all sourcing activities strictly adhere to company policies, approval

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related fields. 5+ years of solid experience in direct material sourcing, preferably in Wire Harness, Automotive, or Electronics manufacturing. Proven track record in RFQ execution, commercial negotiation, cost analysis and supplier development. Background in ASEAN/Thailand supplier development and localization is an advantage. Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Good command of English (written and verbal) for daily regional cross-functional collaboration. Experience with SAP/ERP systems is preferred.
