Tendering Engineer - Low & Medium Voltage Switchboards

Job Summary ElectraTec is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tendering Engineer to join its Tendering & Estimation Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, preparing accurate technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, and supporting the sales team in securing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in low voltage switchboards and electrical distribution systems, combined with excellent analytical and commercial skills.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and customer requirements.

Prepare accurate technical and commercial offers for Low Voltage Switchboards, including Main Distribution Boards (MDB), Motor Control Centers (MCC), Power Control Centers (PCC), Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Panels, Capacitor Banks, Control Panels and Medium Voltage Ring Main Units

Perform detailed cost estimation, including materials, labor, manufacturing, testing, logistics, and overheads.

Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and coordinate with the engineering department to ensure technical compliance.

Obtain quotations from local and international suppliers and evaluate technical and commercial offers.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, and client requirements.

Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement, production, and project management teams during the tendering process.

Identify technical and commercial risks and propose cost-effective solutions.

Prepare technical compliance statements, deviation lists, and supporting documentation.

Participate in clarification meetings with customers, consultants, and contractors.

Support contract negotiations by providing technical and commercial input.

Maintain an organized database of quotations, supplier pricing, and historical tender information.

Continuously monitor market trends, material costs, and competitor activities to improve pricing strategies.

Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs)

General Arrangement (GA) Drawings

Bills of Materials (BOM)

Knowledge of Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, Eaton, Legrand, or equivalent low voltage products is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or proposal engineering for Low Voltage switchboards.

Experience working with electrical panel manufacturers or EPC contractors is highly preferred.

Proven experience in preparing technical and commercial offers for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Familiarity with governmental and private sector tenders is an advantage.

ERP systems (preferred)

Experience with estimation software is an advantage.
