Developer Technical Support Engineer (Android Development)

Job Description

• Be responsible for monitoring the usability and daily testing of third-party Android applications on EMUI, including managing development issues and risks.
• Provide technical support to identify system-related issues and work closely with developers to drive resolution.
• Use tools such as Android Studio and Logcat to capture and analyse crash logs, network requests, and system logs. Reproduce bugs and accurately identify root causes.
• Support software-hardware integration and assist in debugging and integration testing of third-party SDKs and APIs.
• Participate in overseas user experience testing for HarmonyOS, including issue analysis and technical support for overseas applications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (such as government institutions and Android developers) to organize testing activities, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Translate complex technical issues into clear bug reports, follow up on fixes, and provide regular analysis reports to improve ecosystem performance.
• Support technical integration for third-party Android application partners within the EMUI ecosystem.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in Android development, software engineering, technical support, application support, QA/testing, or related technical roles, with a solid understanding of software development and debugging.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields. Candidates from Electronics, Embedded Systems, or Telecommunication Engineering are also considered with relevant software experience.
• Good command of English, both oral and written, especially for technical communication and collaboration with overseas teams. Chinese proficiency is an advantag
• Strong knowledge of Android applications, Android Studio, Logcat, Java/Kotlin, SDKs, APIs, and software debugging.
• Experienced in bug reproduction, crash log analysis, system log analysis, network request analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause identification.
• Experience in third-party Android application testing, integration testing, SDK/API integration, and software-hardware integration is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand source code and work closely with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues. Experience developing Android applications is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify technical issues, determine root causes, and provide appropriate solutions.
• Good experience in preparing bug reports, technical analysis reports, issue tracking, and follow-up on bug fixes.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, government institutions, and Android developers.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure, manage multiple issues, and meet testing and resolution timelines.
• Willing to participate in overseas user experience testing and technical support activities when required.
