Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Job Responsibilities Maintenance Plans Implementation & KPI Measurement: Conduct and execute scheduled electrical preventive and predictive maintenance plans; monitor and report maintenance performance metrics, including MTBF, MTTR, and system availability to optimize machine OEE.
Breakdown Management & Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Receive incoming breakdown reports promptly, lead fault-isolation procedures, and perform systematic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) utilizing 5-Why and Fishbone diagrams to implement permanent corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Critical Spare Parts & Inventory Control: Oversee and control the spare parts inventory for all critical electrical and electronic elements (PLCs, drives, contactors, circuit breakers, sensors); establish min/max stock thresholds and ensure emergency replacement readiness.
Industrial Automation & PLC Troubleshooting: Diagnose, calibrate, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs - Siemens, Delta, Allen Bradley), variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo systems, HMIs, and automated sensor circuits across production lines.
Power Distribution & Infrastructure Integrity: Manage plant medium-to-low voltage electrical power distribution, substations, transformers, motor control centers (MCC), capacitor banks, and power factor correction systems to maintain safe and stable power supply.
AutoCAD Drawings & Electrical Schematics: Read, interpret, review, and update 2D/3D electrical engineering design layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), and panel wiring schematics in AutoCAD to reflect accurate as-built conditions.
Safety Protocols & Compliance (LOTO): Enforce industrial electrical safety norms, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE compliance in alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and corporate EHS standards.
Reporting & CMMS Documentation: Generate comprehensive technical breakdown reports, spare part consumption tracking, and maintenance logs utilizing Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and computerized maintenance management software.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power & Machines, Electrical Power & Control, or Mechatronics).
Experience: 5 to 7+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial plants (demonstrating progressive seniority and technician supervision).
Specialized Professional Courses: Accredited certifications in: (1) PLC Programming (Siemens / Jelecom / Ain Shams University or equivalent), (2) Electrical Power Distribution & Engineering Design Preparation, (3) AutoCAD 2D/3D Electrical Drafting, and (4) ICDL certification.
Technical Competencies: Deep hands-on expertise in industrial automation, three-phase electric motors, VFD setup, relay logic, control circuits, switchgear, and root-cause breakdown diagnostics.
Computer & Digital Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, advanced Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint), Internet engineering research, and CMMS/ERP maintenance modules.
Leadership & Problem-Solving: Proven capability to lead under breakdown pressure, coach shift technicians, coordinate cross-functionally with production managers, and manage external contractor works.
