- Seasonal Labor Sourcing & Workforce Planning: Forecast seasonal agricultural labor requirements in tandem with crop harvesting schedules; source, vet, and contract third-party labor suppliers and agricultural crew leaders to ensure zero picking bottlenecks.
- Field Attendance, Timekeeping & Payroll Auditing: Oversee biometric and field muster roll timekeeping for all permanent staff and daily wage/piece-rate seasonal workers; audit daily hours, overtime, harvest productivity rates, and prepare consolidated payroll sheets for HR and Finance.
- Statutory Labor Law & Social Insurance Compliance: Ensure complete adherence to Egyptian Labor Law No. 12/2003, child labor prohibitions, and Social Insurance regulations; manage Form 1, Form 2, and Form 6 submissions, contractual renewals, and maintain compliant personnel files for all farm staff.
- Social Compliance Audits (SMETA, GRASP, GlobalG.A.P.): Lead farm human rights and ethical trade compliance; implement and pass rigorous client social audits including SEDEX/SMETA 4-Pillar, GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP), and fair wage standards.
- Worker Accommodation & Farm Camp Administration: Supervise on-site worker housing, dormitories, dining halls, and sanitation blocks; mandate regular potable water testing, hygiene inspections, pest control, and nutritious catering meals to guarantee worker welfare.
- Occupational Health, Safety & Clinic Governance: Partner with the farm HSE team to supervise the on-site medical clinic and nurse; enforce mandatory PPE usage during chemical spray applications, manage heat-stress prevention programs, and oversee emergency first aid response protocols.
- Labor Transportation & Daily Commute Logistics: Plan and dispatch worker transport bus fleets covering surrounding agricultural villages; monitor bus safety conditions, driver adherence to road safety, passenger loading limits, and transportation cost optimization.
- Government Relations & Local Community Affairs: Serve as the primary liaison with local Labor Offices Social Insurance offices, Health Insurance Authority, and local community leaders, resolving labor complaints and representing the company during inspections.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Agricultural Sciences, Human Resources, or Law.
- Professional Experience: 5 to 8 years of progressive HR and personnel experience, with at least 3 years directly supervising HR and labor operations within large-scale commercial agricultural farms, agribusiness estates, or rural industrial operations.
- Labor Law & Social Compliance: Strong working knowledge of Egyptian Labor Law (No. 12/2003), Social Insurance processes, and international agricultural social audit frameworks (SMETA, GRASP, GlobalG.A.P.).
- Seasonal Workforce Sourcing: Proven ability to mobilize, organize, and manage large-scale seasonal harvesting labor crews (300+ seasonal pickers) and negotiate with agricultural labor contractors.
- Leadership & Local Dynamics: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and dispute-resolution skills; deep understanding of agricultural village labor dynamics, cultural sensitivities, and rural community relations.
- Digital & Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in HRMS/ERP systems, biometric attendance software, and advanced MS Excel (timekeeping audit spreadsheets, payroll formulas, headcount reporting).
