Agricultural Farm Manager

Commercial Farm & Crop Cycle Management: Develop and execute annual crop cultivation plans, seasonal planting calendars, crop rotation, and harvesting schedules to maximize yields of export-standard fresh produce.

Precision Irrigation & Fertigation Programs: Supervise advanced drip irrigation networks, borehole pump stations, and filtration systems; formulate water delivery and chemical fertilization recipes based on soil and foliar laboratory analysis.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) & Plant Protection: Design and oversee bio-rational pest and disease management programs; monitor pesticide applications to guarantee strict compliance with Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) for global target markets.

Export Quality Standards & Certification Compliance: Enforce full on-farm compliance with GlobalG.A.P., BRC Global Standards, GRASP, and SMETA ethical audit frameworks, maintaining complete batch traceability from field to packing station.

Farm Machinery Fleet & Infrastructure Maintenance: Oversee the readiness, preventive maintenance, and safe operation of agricultural machinery (tractors, sprayers, plows, pivot systems) and farm infrastructure (reservoirs, shade nets, cold stores).

Budgeting, Financial Management & Cost per Hectare: Formulate and administer annual farm operating budgets (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX); monitor production costs per acre/hectare, fertilizer efficiency, and labor expenditure.

Labor Planning & Farm Workforce Leadership: Plan seasonal and permanent agricultural workforce requirements, coordinate labor contracting, conduct training on harvest protocols, and enforce stringent occupational health and safety standards.

Post-Harvest Handling & Cold Chain Transfer: Supervise rapid field-to-packinghouse logistics to maintain the post-harvest cold chain, minimize mechanical damage, and preserve fresh produce shelf-life.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences (Agronomy, Horticulture, or Soil & Water Management). Master's degree in Agribusiness or Plant Protection is a plus.

Experience: 10+ years of hands-on commercial farm management experience overseeing large-scale export crop operations (fruits, vegetables, citrus, or forage) with proven multi-site leadership.

Technical Knowledge: Advanced expertise in modern drip irrigation, automated fertigation, greenhouse and open-field agronomy, crop pathology, and climate-adaptive cultivation.

Standards & Audits: Demonstrated track record of achieving and sustaining GlobalG.A.P., BRC, Organic, and ISO 22000 certifications and managing international client technical audits.

Leadership & Operational Management: Exceptional workforce leadership capabilities managing large multi-disciplinary teams, local communities, technical engineers, and external service providers.

Computer & Analytical Tools: Proficiency in farm management software (FMS), agricultural ERP modules, MS Office (Excel for crop budget/yield analysis), and precision agriculture technologies.
