Packaging Development Lead

• Evaluate packaging performance during filling, sealing, handling, storage, and transportation.
• Identify packaging-related technical problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering to ensure packaging is compatible with manufacturing equipment.
• Support sustainability initiatives related to packaging materials and waste reduction.
• Analyze packaging performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications, drawings, technical standards, and testing requirements.
• Ensure packaging development records and trial results are properly documented.
• Maintain approved packaging specifications and change records.
• Ensure technical changes are properly evaluated, documented, and approved before implementation.
• Coordinate closely with Product Development to ensure packaging is compatible with product characteristics.
• Ensure packaging protects product quality and supports required shelf life.
• Coordinate packaging scale-up and industrial implementation.
• Support first production trials and resolve packaging-related issues.
• Ensure approved packaging materials are technically validated before commercial use.
• Monitor initial production performance and confirm successful implementation.

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.

Experience: 7–10 years of relevant experience in packaging development, packaging technology, R&D, or packaging quality.

Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/managerial packaging role.

FMCG/food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

Proven experience with packaging materials, packaging trials, and industrial implementation.
