Business Controller - Consulting Assignment in Göteborg
About the assignment
Do you want to work in a business-oriented role where you can combine controlling, analysis, and business development in an international environment? We are now looking for a Business Controller for a consulting assignment at a global company within the industrial and marine sectors.
You will become part of the team for Purchasing Strategy & Business Development and will play a central role in supporting the procurement organization with financial analyses, forecasts, and decision support. The role involves close collaboration with both the procurement operations and the company's central finance and controlling functions.
About the role
As a Business Controller, you contribute with analyses and financial insights that support the business's decision-making and development. You work closely with several parts of the organization and have the opportunity to influence the business through data-driven analyses, improvement initiatives, and commercial recommendations.
Your main responsibilities
Responsible for analyses in connection with monthly closing, reporting, as well as monitoring of KPI:s and key performance indicators.
Prepare budget material, forecasts, and financial analyses.
Analyze investments related to production tools, capacity, risks, and resource planning.
Contribute with financial analyses and decision support in cross-functional projects, investigations, and improvement initiatives.
Handle and follow up on issues related to supplier invoices.
Contribute financial expertise in procurement-related projects and business cases.
Conduct scenario analyses and evaluations of material and procurement costs.
Support and train buyers as well as project managers in financial processes and working methods.
Participate in special projects and other procurement-related activities as needed.
We are looking for you who have
An academic degree in economics, business administration, finance, or equivalent.
2-5 years of experience as a Business Controller or in a similar role. Experience in financial monitoring, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting work.
Experience from procurement and/or the automotive industry is meritorious.
Good knowledge of SAP, Essbase, or equivalent business and financial systems.
Very good knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
Fluent English in speech and writing.
