Cover Teacher
About the role:
To ensure continuity of learning by covering classes during teacher absences in the primary section, maintaining classroom management standards, and delivering pre-prepared lessons effectively in line with school policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Main responsibilities
- Classroom management
Supervise and manage assigned classes during teacher absence.
Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment.
Ensure students follow school rules and behavioral policies.
- Academic responsibilities
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or Head of Department.
Ensure continuity of learning objectives during the absence period.
Support students in completing assigned classwork.
Adapt teaching approach according to students’ level when needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant subject area.
Excellent English.
Previous teaching or classroom experience in EYFS and/or primary education is preferred.
LSAs/Assistants with strong classroom management skills may also be considered.

Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and age groups.
Clear communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to follow lesson plans effectively.
Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Flexibility and ability to work under short notice.
